This page explains how we review resources, what our badges mean, and the principles that guide every editorial decision.

1. Our Editorial Principles

   Everything published on Superesource is guided by a few simple principles.

   Quality over quantity. We'd rather publish one exceptional resource than hundreds of average ones. Growing the collection is important, but maintaining quality is even more important.

   
   

2. Community-powered. Human-curated.

   The community helps us discover amazing resources. Every submission is then manually reviewed before publication. Nothing is automatically published.

   
   

3. Useful beats popular.

   A resource doesn't need millions of users to deserve a place on Superesource. Some of the best tools are still undiscovered. We actively look for hidden gems alongside well-known products.

   
   

4. Editorial always comes first.

   Advertisements help support Superesource. They never decide what deserves recognition. Commercial relationships never influence our editorial recommendations.

   
   

5. The internet keeps changing.

   Resources evolve. Designs change. Products improve. Because of that, our listings evolve too. Screenshots, badges, categories, and recommendations may change over time to keep the platform useful and up to date.

   
   

6. How We Review Resources

   Every submission goes through a manual review.

   Depending on the resource, we may evaluate:

   • usefulness

   • originality

   • design quality

   • developer experience

   • accessibility

   • branding

   • user experience

   • content quality

   • technical execution

   • overall usefulness for creators

   Not every resource needs to excel in every area. We're simply looking for something we'd confidently recommend to another creator.

   
   

7. How Resources Are Added

   Ways a resource may appear on Superesource:

   Editorial discovery: Resources we discover ourselves through research and exploration.

   Community Submission: Resources submitted by the community through our submission form. Publication is never guaranteed.

   Paid Placement: Advertisements and Sponsored Listings. These are always clearly identified and remain separate from editorial recommendations.

   Original Work: If you built something yourself, we'd love to see it. When submitting original work, we'll ask you to let us know during submission. Before adding creator credit, we may verify ownership to help keep attribution accurate and authentic. Verified creators receive creator credit directly on their listing.

   
   

8. Surprise Site

   Sometimes curiosity is the best preview.

   Instead of showing the actual website screenshot, some listings display a custom Surprise Site illustration. The real website stays hidden until you visit it. It keeps discovery fun while encouraging exploration without judging a resource solely by its thumbnail.

   
   

9. Badge Guide

   Badges help you quickly understand what a resource is, who it's for, and why it stands out.

   They are editorial labels not rankings or certifications.

   SUPER (Super): Our highest editorial recommendation.

   Reserved for exceptional resources that consistently deliver outstanding value to creators.

   • Cannot be bought.

   • Cannot be requested.

   • Cannot be guaranteed.

   • Can be added or removed over time.

   FRSH (Fresh): Highlights recently created resources. Generally assigned to resources launched within the last three years and removed after approximately two weeks from publication on Superesource.

   DSGNR (Designer): Built primarily for designers.

   DVLPR (Developer): Built primarily for developers.

   PM (Product Manager): Especially useful for product managers.

   INSPRTN (Inspiration): Great for discovering ideas, references, trends, or creative inspiration.

   RSRC (Resource): Educational resources, documentation, libraries, guides, templates, collections, or reference material that users primarily browse, download, learn from, or consume.

   TOOL (Tool): Interactive products you can actively use to build, design, develop, or create. Something that users can primarily interact with.

   BRNDNG (Branding): Focused on branding, identity, visual systems, logos, packaging, or brand strategy.

   AGNCY (Agency): Creative, digital, branding, product, or development agencies.

   PRTFL (Portfolio): Personal portfolios and studio showcases.

   PRDCTVTY (Productivity): Resources that help you work faster, stay organized, or improve your workflow.

   MCKP (Mockup): Mockups, presentation assets, device scenes, product previews, and visual presentation resources.

   FNT (Font): Fonts, typefaces, typography resources, and type foundries.

   ICN (Icon): Icon libraries, icon packs, symbol collections, and icon systems.

   CLR (Color): Color palettes, gradients, color tools, accessibility tools, and color systems.

   AD (Advertisement): A paid advertisement. Advertisements may include custom creative supplied by the advertiser. Always clearly labeled.

   SPNSR (Sponsor): A paid sponsored listing. Presented using Superesource's standard card design while remaining clearly identified.

   
   

10. Can Badges Change?

    Yes. As products evolve, our understanding of them evolves too.

    We may:

    • add badges

    • remove badges

    • rename badges

    • introduce new badges

    • retire existing ones

    This helps keep classifications accurate over time.

    
    

11. Why Wasn't My Submission Featured?

    There isn't always a single reason.

    Sometimes a resource:

    • is already listed

    • doesn't fit the current collection

    • needs further verification

    • doesn't align with our editorial standards

    • may be considered later as the Platform grows

    Not being featured doesn't necessarily mean your work isn't good - it simply means it wasn't the right fit for Superesource at that time.

    
    

12. What We Don't Optimize For

    We don't feature resources because they have the biggest audience. We don't feature resources because they're trending. We don't feature resources because they paid us. We don't feature resources because they're backed by well-known companies.

    We feature resources because we believe they'll genuinely help creators.

    As our collection grows, so will our editorial standards, badge system, and review process. Whenever meaningful changes are made, this guide will be updated.
